If the candidates did not mark any option, then they could be relieved with some marks. For each correct option, there is one mark awarded. There were five numerical-based questions, which carried no negative marks.
Paper 2:Each subject had six single correct multiple choice questions (marking scheme: +3, -1); eight multiple choice questions with one or more correct options with marking similar to that of Paper 1 and two paragraphs with two questions each (marking scheme: +3, 0) i.e. no negative marking.
Hence, cut-offs are expected to be normal this year, i.e. 10 per cent per subject and 35 per cent overall as against 7 per cent per subject and 24.5 per cent overall in 2015.
